Michael Bain

Quickscribe's Expert Annotator – Employment & Administrative law

Michael Bain is a founding partner of HHBG Employment Lawyers where he practises employment law and administrative law. He has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia and is the editor of The Advocate (www.the-advocate.ca), an academic legal journal founded in 1943 which publishes articles "of interest to the lawyer and in the lawyer's interest". Michael was a member of the steering committee of the Public Commission on Legal Aid in British Columbia and is a regular participant in the annual fundraising efforts of the CBA (BC) Benevolent Society. He served for 10 years as an elected representative of the Vancouver Bar Association, 8 of those as secretary-treasurer. Michael will contribute annotations covering various categories of law and will often include references to articles and case summaries published in The Advocate.
